Do you have a book in you? I keep running into people who tell me they have a book they need to write. Is that you too? How long are you going to put that off? Why not start now? I am offering a book writing support group to encourage you through the process. Staying on track with the things that would give us a lot of pride and joy  is important!

The group will include weekly check-ins with a private group to consult and commiserate with to keep you on track. I will be sharing all the advice you’ll need to finally get that book written …and written in a way it’s more likely to get some successes! I will be sharing my tried and true method for getting your book written in a heart beat! . All together, we will provide the space and the discipline to follow through and get this done.

How it works…..

 

We will meet once a week for a couple of hours via zoom. The two hour meet will be a mixture of lectures on best practices and special tricks on how to write a book that people will want to read.

I put an emphasis on writing in a style that is easy to comprehend..  and fully digestible. You will also learn how to crystallize what you want to share in order to get people on board with the message or the character…

Now that’s a super power!

 

There will be time for Q&A and for each person to do a bit of sharing about their process and challenges.  There will also be a private support group online, so people can discuss their books together in that format outside of the class. There will be weekly assignments to keep you on course.

 

Who Are We?

I’m Sylvia Brallier and my very first book was published way back in college in 1979! It was used as school curriculum for botany. I started my second book in 1988 and it took me years and years and years to write it because I edited myself into a standstill. I finally figured out the magic key for writing a book quickly. In 2006, I blasted through the second half of my book, plus all the things it takes to get to a finished product in no time. Then I started my own publishing imprint with Tobias Beckwith, so we both could have an easy way to publish our books and other people’s books. We were able increase our book profits per book way over what you normally get. My third book project was co-writing a book for a Taoist Master, Ming Yi Wang about his health methods. I wrote that book in six months, based on one conversation! I’m afraid it’s been sold out for years now and it’s time to do a re-print in English and Chinese. I’ve also written chapters and sections of other people’s books as well. I’d love to help you with your book. You can do this!

 

Tobias will be joining the forum to share his wisdom about writing and publishing books. He’s published his 5th book, and working on his 6th!  He has done all the layouts for Triple Muse Publications, as well as digital sales. He’ll be sharing his tips, tricks and skills with the group.

 

I am limiting the number of people involved in The Book Writer’s Forum, so that everyone can get the attention they need without it being too much to keep track of. I will split it into two groups, we might be able to focus specifically on the issues within each genre.  Each group will have 15 to 20 people in it. You can choose Tuesday morning or Thursday evening.

 

This will not be a drop in class, but a commitment to push through and rise to the occasion within a commitment to a 12 week series of classes.  Most people should be significantly further ahead or have a shorter book written in that amount of time, providing you follow through on assignments.

Plus, you’ll get a heads up on how to write to publishers, who to approach. For most people the way through will be best practices for print on demand and digital sales.

 

Many people don’t like the cold hard truth, but if you want people to see your book… you will have to market your book, even with a publisher. I will  try to make the process, and the learning as painless as possible. I’ll teach you how to build a book marketing campaign for your book from scratch! We’ll get started on that right from the beginning,   So by the time you finally got this thing written edited and published you’ve already got readers waiting to get their copy!

5 scholarships are available per semester at $450. If you need one to attend, please write a letter to Sylvia Brallier creatrixsb@gmail.com to apply for the scholarship. BIPOC and differently-abled people are especially encouraged to apply.

The five people will be chosen based on need, aligned intent and  enthusiasm for follow through. Please share with me about your situation, your idea, and your ability to follow through. I want to give these scholarships to people who will really work it to their advantage. I want you to succeed!
